Help! Removing alum rocker panel trimpiece...

Some early Fox cars have aluminum trim on the rocker panel. My '79 car has it. How can I remove this trim without damaging it, to repair rust underneath?

Thanks for any ideas.

I found a nut behind inner fender holding leading edge of trim.
