I'm sure someone that knew how to weld could make that kit work. I wouldn't get it if you do not know how to weld or the fundamentals of welding. Why not take it to a weld shop in your area and get good quality welds that will hold up?

This one's easy.NO it won't work.
It would be OK for emergency repairs to lightweight parts but for anything serious you would need an Oxy-Acetylene set.A can of propane just doesn't have enough gas to do much with.
You can get a kit that allows you to solder aluminum but I have never been able to get it to work.I am also a great gas welder and the only things I can't weld is the crack of your ***,a broken heart,or aluminum.
A TIG welder is the only way to go.A good TIG operator can make welds that are too pretty to dress.

I agree with Chopper, a tig is the way to go. Shouldnt cost too much to have a local shop do it. A mig would work with aluminum wire and a shielding gas, but even if you know someone with a mig, you still have to rent the bottle.

I am certified in aluminum and it is very different than mild steel or stainless. It will turn out alot better if a professional shop does it for you. On the thin parts like the piping have them tig it (mig welding with aluminum is very hot). And like he said it will look so good you wont want to dress them.
