Default how much time

How much time, if any, should u let ur 5.0 warm up before u drive it in 80 degree weather, and how long should u let it warm up in 40 or 50 degree weather. I keep hearing different stuff so I'm just wondering.

Another thing is, 2 nites ago i was stuck in city traffic for about 45 minutes and my car started to overheat, i have an upgraded radiator so is there ne thing else i can do to help it stay cool when its jus idling?

You don't really need to let it warm up in 80 degree weather, just drive it slow for the first mile or so and you'll be fine.
In colder weather, it won't hurt to let it warm up for a minute or so before you drive off and then take it easy for the first couple of miles.
When stuck in traffic and running hot, try putting it into neutral and let the idle speed increase like it will and see if this helps bring the temperature down. As a last resort, turn on the heater, roll down the windows, and run the heater fan a full speed.
You should also make sure your radiator is full of coolant and that the overflow bottle has some coolant in it also but not too much that it overflows when the engine is at normal operating temperature. This keeps air out of the radiator and makes it more efficient.
