Windsor Jr.
I have an opportunity to pick up a pair of windsor jr. heads for free. I was just wondering how they'd compare to my 93 cobra Gt-40's. Would it be a good noticeable difference? does anyone have the figures on the windors? Thanx.

RE: Windsor Jr.
According to the recent MM&FF tests on cylinder head flow rates, the Windsor Jr. peak air flow is 211 cfm @.550" lift on the intake and 162 cfm @.550 lift on the exhaust. The GT-40 heads flowed 212 cfm intake and 147 cfm exhaust at the same lift.
On the same test engine, the JR. heads had a peak HP of 351 and torque of 355 while the GT-40 had 353 HP and 363 torque.
More information on other heads is available in the September 2003 issue of MM&FF magazine.

roundman, i'm pretty sure those gt-40's they tested are different. The ones i have came stock on 93 cobras. They are cast iron and have a 65.5 combustion chamber. The ones that were tested are probably alumninum turbo swirls of some sort.
