i was wondering how to date a 302 block. I recently purchased a crate motor and would like to figure out what year the block is.. It went into a 93 and all my accessories pretty much bolted right up to it.

its in the casting # D=70 E=80 F=90 IE. D0ve would be 1970 or E5ve would be 1985 the first letter and the first # are the year. the casting # is found on the block and is only 4 digits, i think on the left below the heads and before the bellhousing.
