Default tach what one?

ok i want to know how the shift ready light works, does it find the best time to shif ton your exact engine or do you set it to a specific rpm? also i have a ford racing 302 with msd. my 6al bax has a tach input on it so what will fit my application?

Autometer makes some pretty good tachs. You will have to set the shift light rpm manually.

Your 6AL has a tach OUTPUT. Most Autometer tachs will work. Stay away from the cheapies.
