Default Why no volts???

Hey guys I need some help. I'm not getting any volts thru the Mass Air Flow Sensor. I know at idle it should be at least .2 volts I get nothing. This is a new sensor....any ideas?

How are you taping into the MAF line? Are you using a piercing probe (one that poke into the wire) or are you trying to probe into the back of the connector where it goes into the harness? Piercing probes work best with low voltage.

Also, this sounds lame but I've seen people do it. Make sure your voltmeter is set to Volts, not Ohms and that it's set to DC not AC.

I use paperclips into the back of the connector and measure off of that. I can try piercing the wire to see what happens. I have it volts not ohms, I hav eto make sure it is on DC. Also the ohams are reading fine at 11 ohms when testing for resistance.
