Default 1966

hey i have a 1966 200ci inline 6....i just rebuilt the motor and now the motor wont idle, all the vaccum lines are right and everything, but we re-drained the oil and the oil came out white ? Why is that ? Its all brand new oil and a new oil filter. Please help

white??? wtf???? i dont know of any additives that would make it white. maybe the guy that rebuilt the engine before you painted the inside white. lol. idk what else it could be.

now, what exactly do u mean by it came out white? what color is ur oil receptical?? cause oil is kinda like tinted windows (depending on how dirty it is). all that oil does the color is make it look much darker and less visible.

White oil? Could be a blown/mis-installed/leaking head gasket and your getting water in the oil. When it runs it tends to whip up and look foamy/white.

Definitely sounds like water in the oil but it could be coming from condensation of the blow-by gases past the cylinder rings. Check the PCV system if it has one and make sure the valve is working. Also run the motor with the radiator cap off and look for bubbles in the coolant, this will definitely let you know if a head gasket is leaking into the water passages.
