Default cold air intake question

I just got my 98 GT and I was wondering what kind of intake you guys would recommend. I was looking at the K&N Generation 2 air intake kit and the Steeda GT high-flow intake kit. Are there any other ones that I should consider?

I always recommend the densecharger cold air kit with the ProM 85mm MAM. This kit will run you about $300.00. You can get all the contact info from www.Densecharger.com. What I would do is call the guy and tell him what you need. He is a really nice guy and is pretty knowledgeable on all.

Let us know what you decide to do.

SUPER nice guy, he even wanted me to call back and let him "know what I think" about the new calibrated ProM's - answered the phone while he was eating dinner with his family (Obviously a 1 man operation).

The customer service is excellent, and so are the power gains. Their not "intentionally misleading" either, as are most CAI's hp claims.

He claims something like 8-10 hp with the full kit, + another 8-10 hp from the ProM meter. That equates to about 14-17 rwhp, which is what its worth. The mass air meter gains are a solid dyno proven 7 - 8 rwhp and the denscharger kit is identical.

By far the best performing CAI out there, aside from a C&L setup when you remove the passenger side headlight (but who does that on the street?) in my opinion. Sure their's better looking kits out there, but how can you beat a massivly sized plastic tubing that doesn't conduct heat hardly at all?

I looked at that web site and those CAI's look really nice and good prices too. Let me ask this question. I was looking to get a 2.5" ram air hood with the ram air system. I really like the look of the hood and I also thoght that the ram air would be good for air flow. If I didn't want to get that hood I would get the dessenger system without a thought. Do you think there would be a better gain from the Dessenger system or the ram air system with the hood?
