Default engines

I have a 1992 mustang convertible with 91000 miles on the engine. I would like to
replace the engine and would like to know if I should use the engine that it already
has and rebuild it, or do I get a new turn key engine? I dont know much about cars so
any guidance on this issue would be great. thanks scooby

well scooby, it sounds like you would have trouble rebuilding an engine yourself. therefore, the best thing for you would be a crate engine. you can get either a short block or a long block. a short block needs a little work, but mostly easy stuff. You could buy a 347 short block from summit for about $2500. with that, bolt on some new heads, intake stuff, cam stuff, oil pan stuff, flywheel, and dampner and you have urself one sick engine!!!

I would enjoy the engine you have in it..and I'm glad your called it like it was an engine....build you another engine and take your time in getting the piece you want like alum. heads..a good 331 short block would be a nice start
