JUST HIT A SKUNK need tech(?) help
Has this happened to anyone.....
driving home tonight I hit a skunk. I was going pretty quick on a back road and hoped that when it sprayed (and it did ) i would be away from it. THe sunk either got caught up under car or the spray got on underside of car. It only smelled for a couple of seconds then went away. but then like a half mile later I smelled a burning smell. I pulled over and loked under car with a light. I don't see fur,or blood or anything. smell seemed to disapate. At home I put car in garage and within minutes house smells. I moved car back outside and I am airing out house now. I guess the spray got on the hot exhaust and thats the burning smell.
Any ideas on clean up?-- techniques or products that can help? (no I won't bath my car in tomato juice)

Only thing you can do is take it to the carwash and hose the underside of it down really well and hope that helps. If its sunny leave the windows down and the car in the sun to help with the odor inside. Get some febreze or something like it and spray that on the carpet.

Thanks for the input-
I am going to try the self wash place with the pressure washer type gun tommorrow. I don't think the interior is too bad but the stink from the underside just stunk up the house bad. at this time of night the wife is po'd.
my concern is leaving it outside my buddy has had his taken 3 times. and I want to preserve the car the best I can.
I am looking to get a ravelco disabler installed but I don't have one yet

Sorry to hear that, most of the time, that stuff is like magic marker, it
has to wear off.
