newbie needs gears

Howdy! got an 89 LX with a 351W. it's got 3.27s in it now and i'm looking for 3.73s or 3.90s. Can I just buy and install the ring n pinion or do i need an installation kit too??? WHere should I buy them? Should I just buy a whole rear end? I'm looking for cost effective quality. Summit racing? Ford Racing?

R&P + Install kit + mechanic for installation. Stick with name brands (FRPP, Richmond, etc.).
