rust in gas tank

Default rust in gas tank

How is the best way to remove rust from tank or do i have to buy new one

Just replace it. Even if you drop the tank and clean the rust out, the rust will still continue to eat away at the tank, its not worth it![sm=badbadbad.gif]

You can get the old one "boiled out" and sealed by a radiator shop.It's been awhile and I don't know how much either one would cost.

for the most part, depending on the level of rust you can get them boiled and lined, but the cost s usually about as much as a new tank, what do you need one for? I might be able to point you in the right direction.

those tanks are cheap. if you know where to get them from like 120 bucks , you prob need a new sender too , along with the sender /pickup o-ring

yeah sender unit is pretty rusty
i found oem one for 138 plus shipping that dont sound to bad to me. looking for 4brrl and intake for it now any suggestions on who has best prices or if anyone has ne lying around lol
