Default bleeding brake problems

I just installed a cable clutch and rearend. Of course I had to disconect the master cylinder to install the cable clutch braket on the fire wall . And I disconected the rear brake lines for the rearend install. I tried to bleed the brakes but to no avail. Nothing. I pumped a lot, again and again[X(] with the right rear first. Only a tiny bit of fluid came through. Any suggestions?

How are you bleeding the brakes?
Try removing the bleeder screw.
New ones are at NAPA.

Default RE: bleeding brake problems

If you lost all of the fluid in the master cyl it may just be air locked. Fill the reservoir with new fluid and tap the cyl with a screwdriver handle while a willing victim pumps the brake but tell them not to pump too fast.

If you pumped the master cyl while it was dry U may have damaged the rubber seal around the piston.

Last but not least the brake diverter valve may have crapped out. Don't know why but they sometimes do when you mess with pressure in the system.

Try bleeding the fronts first and then go back to the furthest wheel and start over.
