Default Temp question

hey.. got a question.. what kinda temps do the mustangs see? like us 4th gen fbodys always run real nice and hot when we are city driving and have to combat it with low temp thermos and such. I'm just wondering if the mustangs do the same thing. like if your sitting at a light will you start to get warm. or if your waiting in the staging lanes etc etc etc. I would be curious for this on all the electric cooling fan type mustangs. even teh V6's. is there any aftermarket cooling products? thanks in advance

bigger for efficient alum radiators, better water pump, maybe some water wetter. the stangs already come with dual electric fans, so stock its stays cool pretty good. ive personally never seen the temp go up while sitting ideling in a stang, cept for my 96 cobra, which stock came with cooling probs and it never really bothered me.

Yeah
On the chevy motors(i dont know why)the fan turns on at 217 degrees.
stupid huh?
Every chevy i own(90'gmc 3/4 ton HD,97'Blazer,2004 Z-71 4X4)All except the Blazer 4.3,,,They all run around 210 degrees know matter what i do.I've even put a bigger radiator in my 3/4 ton.I was told that if you can get your car down to 180,the computer would think it's still in lean state (O2 sensors)and it would'nt run the same.
Good luck.
By the way,I've never had a problem with any of them overheating.

My GT never goes past 3/4's on the guage. Barely ever reaches 3/4's.

92 is right, My Iroc-z's fans didn't come on until 217 degree's. This is why I hard wired them into a switch, never got over 200 after that.

yeah. stock LT1 settings are 227 and 235 which is pitifull.. but the did it for emittions but of well.

I guess what I need to know is that is there ever a case when the mustangs could use a bit of better cooling like when they are sitting in traffic or wanna keep temps down while they are sitting at the staging lanes etc etc
