rear end problems?
when i put my car in reverse and once i start moving the rear end makes a clunk/ almost crunching noise. it almost sounds like the axle is moving foward or back....possible bushings shot somewhere? i would appreciate any thoughts to what causes this.

RE: rear end problems?
What year of car is this????Bushing age is an important factor in determining whether they're worn out or not without being able to see them.
It could very well be bushings.Look under the car and see if they look like they have cracks or chunks missing from them. Also look for places where things are rubbing together. The best way to do this is to raise the car,set it on jack stands set as high as you can get them, and go underneath and look around.

RE: rear end problems?
its a 1998 GT, lowered 2 inches in the rear. i think ill do that suggestion of jacking up the rear and checking all the bushings, that was my guess of what it was but just wanted some other feed back.
thanks for the info
