Default Need Some help?????????

I was out today for a cruise in my 83 3.8 stang, I ran my tank of gas below empty, Didnt run out of fuel, Then I got gas as soon as I could, filled the tank, While I was on my way home I floored my car up the hill, I noticed my car had no power, I was WTF. first I though it was my tranny fluid was low, its fine, Then I am thinking my timing was out, nope checked and did a adjustmnets are fine, The engine is running fine on idle, no shakes, Ive tried 1/2/3 on my tranny no luck.I am thinking

1.) I got some bad gas.
2.) I must have got some dirt in my fuel filter from running my fuel to low.
3.) Any ideas guys?

well I'd say a new filter is in order..running it to low won't do it as gas is drawn from the bottom..what ya did is most likely stirr'd all the rust and junk when you fill'd it up....so try the new filter and a bottle of fuel dryer
