Default just springs?

i want to order just lowering springs for my 98... i plan on adding aftermarket shocks and struts as well as many many other suspension mods(i am not going to do a lot of auto crossing,it will just mainly be for street applications)... but i am asking for the springs as a gift so i was wondering what would be the best ones to get. i want them to of course lower the car-i know that 1.5in is standard and i want them to act as the first piece to a well built suspension. i have heard good things about steeda-but which line? and another thing, how hard are they to install- can you do it at home or do you need a lift? thanks guys

I have Steeda Sport's, dropped around 1 1/2 inches all around. IMO, I wouldn't go any lower, the ride is already rock hard and will make you crap your pants if you are ever rushing home to drop a deuce

how about start off with steeda sport springs? then i would buy the stage 2 kit? a front sway and the tower brace....then get some full length sub frame connectors-and the upper rear and lower control arms- camber casters if i need them-that would work right? what are your thoughts?

Hey Dan what shocks and struts are you running? I am looking into the Steeda Sports springs also and am thinking about the tokico illuminas that Steeda uses for G trac stage 2. I wanted to order Springs, shocks and struts, and the strut tower brace all at the same time. Is there anything else that is really important I should put on at the same time I am doing those?

If you going to lower you car i sugjest going with the eibach pro kit which droped my car 1.5 inch from and rear and a set of Tokico Hp struts. It is the best set up in my opinion. You car will handle like if never has before and its a good firm stiff ride. I droped my car before on stock struts and matrix 2.5 from and rear springs and that was the wrost thing i could have done. Never go lower then 2.5 unless you want problems. I also im running 20s on my car with 255/35/20 rubbers so im sure you ride would be better then mine.
