Great idea! My sister has a stock 2002 and she is keeping my car for me while I'm out here. So I'll do just that as soon as I get home. Thanks.

You're quite welcome! Every once in a while my brain comes up with a decent thought! LOL
Say, do you have a lot of women on the Kennedy now? You should have seen how mad my bro got when he heard about the Navy putting women on the IKE, he was livid! I've never seen him so mad! He said they have no business being on a carrier at all, but that was some years ago when he heard about it. I think he said something about if they wanted to get off the boat, all they would have to do is get pregnant and they would put them off the boat in a heartbeat and there was no way a man could get off like that unless they caught him with another man in the shower doing the nasty thing. ha, ha, ha His four years must have been less than pleasant I guess and I know sometimes he said the food was terrible, bare hot dogs, no buns without even any Kool Aid to wash them down with!
Hope things are working out better for you in the 21st century Navy!

I'd say that the crew is just about a third female. Things are getting better for the most part as far as that's concerned. Of course there are the few that get pregnant on purpose just to get off the ship. It makes me furious, but at the same time I can't help but think how truly stupid and irresponsible of a thing it is for these kids to do that. And it usually is the young, just joined the navy ones that do it. But I would say that as a whole the standards Navy wide have dropped in the last few years. I'm an E-6 and have been in just over 8 years and I have seen some drastic changes from the time I joined until now. Some of the kids the recruiters are putting in these days... makes me wonder where they get them from. They come in with attitudes and a total lack of respect for authority. And of course this is the "New Navy" so there is no more hazing and the whole "don't ask, don't tell" policy. About the only thing the Navy doesn't tolerate is drug use. You will get kicked out so fast it'll make your head spin if you test positive for drugs. And of course you have the guys that do that.. since we can't get pregnant. haha. And yes, the food still sucks. But I always keep a positive attitude and think to myself, "it could be worse". And looking on the bright side.... I have email and the internet right here at my fingertips even while floating out in the middle of the Gulf. Gotta love modern technology!
