Default I need some advice

Hey guys, I plan on buying a mustang in january as soon as I come back home. I've been thinking about which car I should buy but I really really need some advice because I just can't decide myself. Ok, so I'm basically looking between a 04 GT or 05 GT.

Here's what I've found as of now, theses prices are in canadian $ and they seem to be fairly reasonnable.

1) 04 GT black with 21,000 KMs at 16,500 $ (http://www.hebdo.net/result/detailin...5&pgno=1&srt=7)
2) 05 GT black with 9,700 KMs at 25,900 $ (http://www.hebdo.net/result/detailin...2&pgno=3&srt=7)

Sorry if the links are in french. Just remember theses are Kilometers and not miles.

Both cars seems to be in great condition so it just basically comes down to what year I should take.

To help you guys give me advice, I'll post a few details on me :

I'm 21 and still going to school. I don't have access to a garage so that implies that I'll be using the stang in the winter and that it's going to be sitting outside all winter. I also live in Montreal canada and we get a lot of snow here and cold weather. I need to be able to drive the car in winter as it is my mean of transportation to go to work. However, I will only be using the car on the weekends (I work on saturday and sunday up until may when I work full time).

Assurance isn't an issue, i've been shopping around and it's the same price for the two cars. Gas isn't an issue either obviously.

Now this is the important part: I have around 10,000 $ cash right now that I could put down on the car I'm buying. I also know that by the end of june 2007 (next summer), I will have more than enough money (because of work) to entirely pay the 05 GT. This way, I will have to only pay 4 months of interest on the car and afterwards I will be able to pay all of the remaining car payments.

Why am I hesitating? Well because I'm actually kind of scared of owning a beautiful new 05 mustang and having to drive it in the snow during our long winters. I know that I can't really afford as a student in university to buy a second car as a winter beater. This may seem hard to understand but I really intend to keep my car for as long as I can possibly can. This is my dream car, I'm just worried that salt and snow and ice might damage the car. If I would buy the 04 GT, I know I'd still take really good care of the car but it wouldn't seem too critical for winter driving.

On the other side however, I keep telling myself that if I'm going to buy a mustang, it will be to drive it all year long and not to keep it in the garage for 4 months a year.

So, this is my question: what would you do? Would you go for the 04 or 05 GT? Also, do you think that driving the stang in winter is really that bad? Please explain your reasonning and if you guys think of another solution involving any other stangs or anything else, please feel free to post them and to help me decide what to do!!!

Thanks a lot guys,
I really appreciate the help.

Nick

Shoot, I would personally for go for that 05 GT...why buy an older model? Plus, I like the retro look, but that's just me..

You'd be better off buying a winter beater until you have the money to keep the Stang off the salt.
