Pics!
These are some pics of what I discovered while removing the interior from my 88gt. Also, pics of engine bay damage. The car will be my daily driver, but I also would like to take it to the course on the weekends and occaionionaly to the strip. I am looking for any information, thoughts or suggestions you can provide about the damage. Any thing such as what could have caused the damage or information about the repair work done. I mainly want to know what could be affected from the damage and what can be done with it.

pics are not working....but i know the feeling
when I pulled up my back seat, I found all sorts of broken glass underneath.
Like the windows were smashed, and they just swept the glass under the seat and forgot about it....
who would do that?
And any time I pull a panel to do electrical work, the wires are chopped to pieces!
This guy never heard of electrical connectors or soder.....just cut and wrapped.
And the fuel pump is jerry rigged......the wiring's all aftermaket/homemade.....funny
Anyway, good luck new dude.

Looks like it was sure hit hard in the rear. Get it on a rack yet and see if the frame is straight. Took a hard hit to the fender too. Some on pulled all that back with a dent puller? Wow.... Get it on a rack!
It's definitely been in an accident and had some body work done to it but not all the dents and bends were removed. Parrothead is dead on correct, you need to get it to a frame shop and let them check the chassis to see if it is bent and if so, how much they want to get it straightened out. You should also get some subframe connectors installed if the chassis is worth saving.
That baby was MANGLED at one point! That kinda damage would total any car (if both front and back damage was done at the same time), is your title clear?
Just because its been wrecked doesn't mean its junk, just be sure the frame is straight and do what you can to reinforce it if it is (like what roundman said). Just think of it this way - all those dent puller holes removed some weight!
