Is it possible to take a automatic transmission out and put in a manual transmission ? If so , what transmission should I choose ?

 

Get a T-5. hey work great and the got a over drive gear.

 

is it worth the cost? no....it's possible but alot of changes have to be made...you can make that auto just as fast, and almost bullit proff for about the same cash and no computer worries
1. 2500 stall convertor
2. shift kit
3. chip if using a obII 'puter
4. kevlar rebuid kit
5...manual valve body

 

I have to agree with vfast, converting auto to manual is alot of work, I did it to a 93 LX 5.0L to 79 coupe with a 2.8L, What a pain, I should have just left it auto. But their are other options down the road.

 

Yah , but I want the manual , but anyways ,whats the best manual tran out there ?

 

I read lots of good things about the Jericho tranny, but they aren't cheap.
