Considering a Bullitt....opinions wanted.
After selling my speedbike a couple of months ago i've been looking for a stang.( I used to have a 91 5.0)
I've been looking for a 2003-4 vert GT. However yesterday i stumbled upon a 2001 Bullitt.......I didnt know much about it so I read up on it. Not a big power difference but better suspension, intake, lighter flywheel etc....The other thing I liked was that there were only about 500 that made it into Canada.
Its black on black, mint condition, no winters, 47000km (about 30000 miles), no accident or repaints, and still has a year and a half warranty. $17500 can. ( $19000 US dollars)
I think its a great deal and i just wanted some opinions. What do you guys think ?

Thats a pretty nice deal considering that low of mileage even for here in the states. That warranty is a bonus, also along with the rarity of them for you in Canada. I would jump on it if you don't mind having a coupe over the vert you wanted. Would you rather have a vert no matter what?

Eh, (oops, no pun intended..lol) but that seems like a awfully high price to me.
Granted a Bullit is not as common as GT, and are a bit better than a GT from teh factory, it's still essentially the same car, with some differnet badges and a slightly different stance.
And to think that you'd be paying 19K US dollars for an '01 GT is awfully insane.
Have you considered looking at Mach 1's with similar mileage. Because around here they have dipped just below 20,000 dollars with about 30-50K miles depending on where you look.
I dont know how the Canadian market is treating Late Model 'Stangs, but around here, it seems to be a buyers market with prices steadily dropping on just about everything but Terminators.

Must be a very different market here. Mach 1's are going for $25k ($22k US), 03-04 GT's average $22k
.......as far as the Bullitt goes its got enough on it to make it more desirable than a regular GT, plus like i said about only 600 made it up north. And this one has bumper to bumper warranty till 2008. I rather have a 2001 with warranty than a 2003 with none.
factor in as well that the Bullitt was never winter driven which means that it spent 4-5 months a year in the garage so its more like a 2-3 year old car.
.....thats what I think and I'll know tonight if he accepts my offer.
