I want to remove my air silencer and i was wondering where it is located and how it can be done? . . . i only 17 so dont bust my chops about it =)

 

Open the hood, look to the left. See the air filter housing - the big bulge at the passenger side fender? Pop it off the fender and remove the rubber boot that goes from the air filter housing into the fender. Enjoy your additional 1-2 free hp

 

Just like he said. I just did it about 2 weeks ago, takes all of 5 minutes at the most. Better off to do it when the engine is cold. Bottom latch on the air filter housing is close to the engine and you will surely bump into it, not a good feeling when the motor is hot!

 

ya i took mine off a few days ago and i can hear a diff but cant feel it but wait its only like2 hp......have fun

 

its only good for a couple of hp and if you have the stock maf, its almost pointless

 

Have to take out the whole filter box and then its easy to remove.
