take everything apart in the upper and lower intake... put everything back together with new gaskets... if there are pieces left over at the end... go back to step 1. [sm=smiley4.gif]

Default RE: lower intake

Removing the upper Intake Involves:

Disconnect Battery
Remove air tube Assembly to Throttle Body.
Unplug the IAC Motor, TPS Sensor and EGR.
remove coolant lines from Throttle Body Spacer.
Unsnap Throttle Linkage from Bottom Side of Throttle Body.
Remove 2-10 mm Bolts holding Linkage Bracket to Throttle Body.
Disconnect Vaccuum Lines to Intake. Mark them first if needed.
For a Stock Intake you will need to remove the upper Plate that says 5.0 on it. It has 4 Torx screws holding it on.
Last step is to remove the 6-13 MM bolts holding the Upper Intake on.
Lift upward and away from engine.

Lower Intake.

Drain Engine Coolant
You will need Special Tools to disconnect the Fuel Lines.
Disconnect all of the coolant lines running to the Intake.
Remove all 16 of the Lower Intake Bolts
You may need to pry upward slightly to break the seal.

Cleaning:
Remove all of the Gasket from the Lower Intake and Heads.
Clean the Lifter Valley of all Debris.

Install:
Install a LIght coat of Silicone around all 4 Water Jackets on the Cylinder Head. They are the end holes.
Lay down Intake Gaskets on Each Head.
Gently apply another coat of Silicone to the Water Jackets on the Upper Side of the Gasket.
Run a 1/2 Thisk Bead of Silicone on the Front and Rear of the Bolck. Do not use supplied Gaskets. They will not seal properly.
Allow Silicone to cure for about 5 minutes.
Drop Lower Intake Straight Down onto Engine.
Re Install all 16 Bolts.
Torque them to 15 FT Pounds
Starting with the Center 2 Bolts on each side work in a square pattern.
After Tightening all of them take a Ratchet and socket and oput 1/4 turn into each bolt.
Re-Install The rest of the parts and you should be fine.

CHANGE OIL. The Coolant from the Lower Intake when removed will mix into the OIL.

I am sure I forgot something but this will get you started.
