I'm looking into getting one of these aluminum dash boards from Jegs in the near future for weight and aesthetic reasons:

Would one of these pass the street safety inspection or not?

EDIT: The car would be primarily for autocrossing (while wearing a helmet and harness) but I'd still want to take it for a spin on the street every now and then.

 

I'm only gonna guess it would pass inspections... but, gonna have a nasty owie if you get into an accident and your head hits that...
