Default Shaker 500 question

I got just a new 07 Mustang with the Shaker 500 audio system. When turning off the key, the stereo stays on. Is this normal?
Thanks

Does the sterio finally turn off when you open a door after turning off the key? That would probably be normal

Yeah it's normal. It will shut off after a few minutes or if you open the door.

I have a 1998 GMC Jimmy and it does the same thing. Completely normal.

It's something GM has been using with Cadillac and upper models for years now. With my old Trailblazer the radio would stay on for twenty minutes before turning off. I just look at it as something that makes me stay in my Mustang a little longer. There's nothing wrong with that.
