Default big block in fox body?"

hello all im new to the forum, thanks for having it ive browsed it a few times just now registering.

first off i own an 85 gt with t-tops. my question is i recently into possesion of a 390 ho out of a 68 shelby. the motor has been bored 30 over with some other mods. off the top of my head i dont remember the mods but i trust the source. i also got a c6 in the deal. actually i pulled the motor and tranny out of a 77 chevy pickup about 8 months ago. it has about 25k on it after the rebuild and ran this truck around like nobody's business. would this motor fit into my mustang or is it just to damn big to get around the steering and whatnot. i wont drive the car alot mostly street/strip when im not dragging kids around and i get a little playtime for myself. unfortunatly i got rid of the car i would of put it in about a year ago. (79 ranchero gt). if it wont fit ill hold onto it and find something else later but i thought that power would be badass in the fox body. also what about the c6 will that fit with it or am i dreaming here. actually id like a 5 speed but ill use what i got for now. thanks in advance.
matt

ps. sorry if im in the wrong forum.

It'll fit. I think you need a tubular k member, a cowl hood, and figure something out for the fan - rad clearance.

They put 385 series big blocks in the Fox's quite often, so the FE will fit with a lot more room to spare since it's a physically smaller engine. They may not make a specific swap kit for an FE, but you'll get pretty close with the 385 kits.

You can put a 460 in a Fox body. I think one other thing you'd need is a bfh for the headers....
