I should put a hose from the mapping sensor to the intake? on the bottom of the sensor there is an electrical plug and a conector to the right of that. is this where the hose should go?

I believe that is the right place to connect it.

heres the best part about it. I brought it into a local shop to have them check it out. they thought it was the upper intake gasket and replaced it. didnt work. told me it was the lower intake gasket. I didnt want to pay them for that, so I paid the $108 for the upper intake work(which did nothing) and took it home. I found the missing hose after replacing the lower intake gasket and injector seals. If this hose was the problem the whole time I just spent a lot of time doing nothing. I should never have taken there word for it. I just figured this is there job and they should know what they are doing.

Unfortunately, not every shop really knows what they are doing and we have to find that out the hard way sometimes. Hope you're running OK now.

If your car is a 89' or newer, the map sensor does'nt get a vacuum line.Only speed density cars have a vacuum line going to the map sensor.
I'm trying to think here.Is the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator hooked up as i believe that it goes to the bottom of the intake as well?

Rye,
Are you absolutely sure about the MAP sensor on 89 and newer cars? I thought the ECU still needed to know the absolute pressure in the intake manifold to proper measure engine load and then determine the injector pulse width and spark timing? I am speed density so I don't have anything else to look at for this.
