I've seen two or three paint jobs from there (in VA) and you pretty much get what you pay for....
this guy (I mean ***) I know got his car painted there and it had a few small runs and paint made it through the tape in a spot on the taillights..and another guy got his car resprayed black at the same one and it turned out good...

perfect.disguise is completely correct. In no other area does "you get what you pay for" apply more than paint jobs. 90% of the quality of a paint job is in the prep. For $250 they might wash the car before they spray. My father-in-law painted high-end cars and custom street rods for 60 years. His later paint jobs generally costed between ten and twenty thousand dollars. I work with body shops all day every day and a production body shop will usually charge upwards of $2500 for a repaint in the original color. For $250 you're going to get a $250 paint job.

Good luck.

lol

i think maaco gets a bad rep

but it is 100% true that you get what you pay for, if you dont plan on havin this car in bout 2-3 years, then
a maaco paint job may be perfect for you

I would take the $250
and buy a used few hp air compressor ($75)
Paint gun and hose (Harbor freight) ($30)
Primer, bondo, nitrostan, finish paint, thinner,
hardner, wet sandpaper ($150).
I gaurantee you will get a better job than macco.
If you get good at it you might make some money
painting others things (helmets, gas tanks, quads, ect.)

I can relate to being broke man but...... If the car is at all passible the way it is (meaning is the paint at all decent looking?) then your better off leaving it. In most cases a Maaco paint job will lower the value of the car, look like crap and not last more than a year without chipping. Save your money

Oh hell no. A Sharpie is a permanent marker. Maaco ain't permanent.
