My friend has a slightly modded foxbody 5.0 gt and he raced a completely stock 2000 gt, my question is the 2000gt took him by a couple car lengts why are they faster?

I may be wrong, but I thought the 99 + gt's factory ratio were 3:27.

Gears are usually one of the first things to go on tho.
a stock Fox GT get around high 14's low 15's

Stock 99+ GT's usually get around low-mid 14's

ok...a lil off subject, me and my dad were talkin bout this the other day. i told him about me driving that '04 GT and how it would just plain WALK away from me. the 4.6 DOHC........2 or 4 cams ?? i said, 2(at least i think they have 2) and he thought they had 4. whos right ?? plus, Acer, a Fox stock is 225hp if it has the H.O., not 215. plus, did all the '87-'93 5.0's have the "H.O." or did some of them have a "regular" 302 and there actually is a hp diff ?
