vibration when braking...

RE: vibration when braking...
Most likely your front brake rotors are warped, or possibly your rear drums. This is a fairly simple fix of either having the rotors machined smooth or just replacing them. Either way, put in a fresh set of pads at the same time. If the problem is in the rear, the same idea applies. Machine or replace the drums and install a new set of shoes. Fords are pretty notorious for warping the front rotors. I replaced mine with cross-drilled and slotted rotors many years ago and haven't had a problem since.

Had the same problem with the GMC Savanah van.
I thought the rotors were warped because I did
not turn them with the last pad replacement.
Turns out there was a crack in the rotor
that expands with heat . In either case
it is time to replace the rotors.

RE: vibration when braking...
I had this problem not too long ago. I rotated my tires and it fixed my problem. The guy said that my struts were bad, which what caused the premature wear on the outside of my front tires. But when i had the better tires up front, the vibration was gone. Does it vibrate at all when youre in higher speeds? even when not on the brakes?
