Default Ideas for passing emmissions

I live in Maryland and about to purchase a 87 lx with a charger and motor mods.I know I will have to put the cats back on the car for emmissions but if the car dosent pass does anyone know any tricks or potions out there that may get me thru.Maryland just passed the new law that if you dont pass emmissions you dont have tags till you do.They use to have a waiver after you spent 500 dollars to have it repaired but that is old news now. Thanks for any advice and help

Make sure car is tuned up good and down here in Fla before the stopped the emissions testing if it was quiestionable we would put some denatured alcoholin with the gas and it would burn cleaner and help you pass emissions

just throwing out a wild idea, doubt it would work, but could you put on smaller injectors to lean it out?

Yep, money talks and make you motor run cleaner. $50 should work. Start asking people about it and tell them how you don't want to change anything. They could set thing up for you.

a friend of mine who owned a sleek italian roadster - fiat x19 - haha got you - could not pass a smog test here in california. the mechanic told him that he'd need new cats and some egr work to pass. he read on a forum somewhere that rubbing alcohol could help him pass. so he bought a bunch of rubbing alcohol, the highest concentration stuff you can find at the store, and put it in the tank. he then went on to pass his test, the same mechanic was competely surprised, saying that his levels were below many types of new cars. he doesn't remember how much he used vs how much fuel was in the tank, but it worked.

he may have been lying to me, but i doubt it. i just though i'd mention it as an idea on what to search for on the web.

good luck

Run about 1-2 gallons of methynlo hydrate in youre gas tank with 87 octane that should pass ya though any emissions test, What ever you do dont use 90-94 octane then it will give you no readings, Then they will think somethings wrong.

GoodLuck
