Do I have passive or active alarm?
This must be a stupid question so be gentle. I picked up my 2007 Mustang GT this Saturday. I ordered it about 7 weeks ago and I chose Active Anti-Theft System at that time. How can I verify that the car is actually equipped in one?
Passive arms itself, active you have to arm, but look under the hood for a pin switch and also over the mirror for motion sensors, they look like little tweeters.
He has what I call "I paid top bucks for it, love the car, but miss my money."
Thats when you get picky about stuff. Everybody goes through that stage.
Either way, get if you dont already have, LoJack. LoJack + security package from dealer or bank that refunds your money if car is stolen and not recovered, I think it is the best protection you could get. Other than that a two way pager would be nice, but that more for checking if anybody parked close to you.

Yeah there should be a pair of them, one on each corner, i didnt even know mine had them (I thought they were tweeters...lol) until I threw something in the car with the windows down, car went nuts. My window sticker didnt even show the alarm.
