Default Starter Help?

Howdy All-Im focusing now on getting the motor installed on my project 68---(the car rolls finally)-

-I checked the starter motor that came with the motor and Im not sure If I am doing it right--

-I tried checking it with a 6 amp charger, is that not enough voltage to even turn the motor? How can I tell if this starter motor is bad, before installing it on the motor??

Its an 88 302 HO motor/starter--am I missing anything?

Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

That is nowhere near enough to check that starter, take it to your local parts store and heve them bench test it.

+1, It needs a 12v signal, its best to do it on a bench, it has a lot of torque so it'll prolly spin outta your hands.

The 6 amp charger is 12 volts---basically 6 Amps isnt enough to even have it move? If thats the case then Ill try a car battery if anyone thinks thats a good idea--I just want to know it will crank---thanks for the input--

You will need about 100-125 amps to kick that thing over with no load.
