what has more potential
When I was 24 I had it bad. At 32 its still bad, but I can handle it now.
As I get older, I don't care about a fast car as much. I just want to have fun now. I don't want to drive 110mph down the street with some guy chasing me. I think about how much trouble I could get in. Whichever car you get, just have fun with it. There is car faster somewhere, so don't try to be the fastest. Even on the race track. Just have fun.

Im 35 but here is my 2 cents ifs its your only car get the 88 ac good on gas reliable if its a fun car get the 72 I get nice car comments every time I take my cutlass out makes the 6mpg almost worth it. & full coverage insurance for the agreed value of 13k is only 130.00 a year.
BTW, if it's a '72 Boss 351 it will be the Cleveland type engine.
IMHO, the Clevelands are sort of expensive to get parts for and the parts for them are sort of 'drying up'.
Also, if that is a numbers matching type '72 Boss Mustang, you probably shouldn't change anything on the car as it's pretty rare and going up in $$$ value each day.......
