Default flickering headlights...help!!!

i have a 2001 gt convertible that i bought used last year. after 2 months, the the daytime running lamps started flickering while driving. (this was a canadian car, so it had daytime running lights) i just figured i would pull the fuse for the daytime running lights. i did and it solved my problem, sort of. but now (8 months after i pulled the fuse) the headlights started flickering when they are off. its a very dim and eratic flicker. when i turn them on, they are fine. and whats really strange, is that even when the car is shut off, they still flicker. sometimes when the car has been parked all night, i can go down to the garage and they will be flickering. other times not. everything else electrically seems fine and works normal. does anyone out there know what might be causing this?

thanks

2 choices , take it to a dealer and let them fix it or sell the car, electrical can be a nightmare, it sounds like you have wires bleeding thru eachother, bad thing, can cause shorts in the system , can also fry your comp,

good luck

I has to be some kind of wiring problem. It probably was from the start, but that is very weird. I agree that sound like a dealer issue unless you have the patience to research more and to go through the wires. Ever seen the movie CHRISTINE. maybe its time for a sequal!!!

It seems to be a common problem for the running lights which means there must be an area to look for the problem on the car in general. If anyone knows, let us know.
