Default Undercarriage floor pans?????

The underside of my 87 GT needs replaced. The floor boards on the inside of the car seem to be sturdy no holes, visible rust or anything of that sort. My concern is underneath the car on both sides is rusted pretty bad including the lip welds. Does anyone know how these are replaced, if there is a technical term for them, can they be replaced??? Also if so any good shops in the ST. Louis area???

they can be replace.. had to do it on my 86 not bad just a lot of work. and measure twice!!!

Does that include the lip welds can you describe the job a little more. I am very mechanically inclined but I am debating on taking it somewhere because it just seems like it would be a pain in the a$$

Depending on the depth of the rust you may be able to use wire wheels on a drill to remove the rust, down to bright shiny metal if your going through rust, then prime with etching primer, then paint them black. That's what I just did with my '66. You may find it is just surface rust. It's a messy job but easier and a lot less expensive than replacing floor pans if the rust hasn't eaten through. I was surprised to find that what I thought was surface rust wasn't all surface rust, just dried dirt that came right off and showed black paint underneath, 40 years later. Wear eye protection and a dust mask and expect a lot of loose wires to fly off the brushes. You may need a variety of brushes to use, coarse, fine and different shapes and sizes.

i seem to have the same problem except my whole passengerside rear is gone all i have is a piece of metal laying over it casue i dont know how i would fix it and i also have a hole all the way through my running borads i think there called... and basicly all my floorboards have some kinda rust on it or thru it mostly thru it so how would i go about fixng that? and i also have a hole right under my windsheild driverside but i think thats caused by the t tops little drain tube thing...
