Default help with temp guage

hi i am new here. i have a 95 gt and the temp guage goes below the c when i start the car. i just replaced the sending unit and all of the other guages work fine. does anyone have any ideas? thanks in advance. mike

it stays below the c no matter how long i run it. i checked the wire going to the sending unit and it seems fine. i dont know if there is another sensor to replace or not? thanks. mike

Sounds like the thermostat itself is bad. Take it out and look at it.

^^^^^^^^^^ round man is right! for the 1st time hahaha, if the thermostat would be bad it would either not be coming open or always open, think about what u just said, the engine is still gonna get hot, and if it was completely plugged the engine would over heat and melt down. oh just kidding roundman, u are NEVER wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks guys. today i found out if you ground the single lead from the sending unit the guage should spike to hot. if it doesnt the guage is bad. mine is bad. only 150.00 for a new one and i get to rip the dash apart! thanks again, mike
