Can you put 275/40/17 on a stock cobra rim?

Default RE: TIres/rims

I wouldn't put them on anything less then a 17x9 inch... the stock is too small at 17x8. Don't get me wrong, you can put them on there, but they will bulge out a bunch from the wheel and look like shighz... on a side note, I have a 97 cobra with some mods and have great traction with my 245s (on some 17x9s). If you get some quality tires, you will be happy with the stock rims and tire size... On a side note, I have some 17x9s with some cheapo 275s (Yokahama) and slide all over the place (some of that is because I am in west Texas and this place must have the dustiest roads in the states).
