Will be buying new Mustang, what to do with rims?
If i'm going to be either getting Nitto 555 tires or BFG KDW-2's, I think I'll just be getting seperate rims too.
Would you guys get the standard 17" rims on the car and then have the dealer install new rims and tires? (I'm thinking this might be the worst option since you would probably have to forfeit your stock tires/rims)
Would you have standard 17" rims and then order new tires/rims yourself and just put them on by yourself or the tire shop?
Would you just get the upgraded 18" polished rims with the car?
I'm thinking the second option would be the best because you could sell your stock tires or rims... but then again would anyone buy stock tires and rims and what would they be worth?
Thanks!

I don't think you'd "forfeit" the rims and tire that came with the car if you went with the first option - you own the car, and the rims it came with. The new rims and tires would be extra cost, but you'd keep the originals. If they tell you otherwise, they are pulling a fast one on you.
The downside of the second option is, NO ONE buys 17" takeoffs for any decent price... you might be stuck with them.
I think the factory upgraded 18" rims are about a $900 option, which is not a bad deal for rims and tires. I think you have three choices in 18" wheels: 1) Fanblades, 2) Bullitts, and 3) a new five spoke rim. Plus you can work the extra cost into the financing, which is good (you could do this on other rims bought thru the dealer too, but they would be more expensive).

I LOVE the factory bullitts. They are beautifuuuul. Obviously aftermarket rims are even better, but I always look at price vs overall upgrade, and the cost of aftermarket rims does not justify buying them to replace our awesome bullits!
If I were you I'd get stock 17" bullits and LOVE EM, and use the money on something else.
