Rolling fenders
Hey guys- my rear fenders are rubbing (and cutting!) the tires when I hit a bump or a dip. I'm running 275/40/17's on the back on a 9" rim with a 1" drop (H&R super sport's).
How do I know how far to roll them, and how much does it usually cost? I need to do my 2 rear fenders.

It's the EASTWOOD COMPANY and they sell some unique automotive tool. The fender roller is a great tool that precisely rolls the fenders and is much cheaper than going to a body shop. The old school (and much more likely to screw up method) is to insert something like a baseball bat between the fender and tire and slowly drive the car forward. Not pretty but I've seen it work!
the easiest and cheapest way to do it is to just take the tire off the car, and get a rubber/plastic mallet and whack the lip back to where you want it. you can also use a pair of vise-grips and put some rubber/plastic on the jaws, and slowly bend the lip upwards, then pound it into a nice rounded shape.
na, its just working the small lip on the underside of the fender.
it moves it just enough to stick some big rubbers under there. you are modifying the part that you cant see, so its cool.
