Time for some new shoes on the GT
Has anyone here tried some 275's on the 17x8 stock wheels yet?
I know they fit, I'll have them on the rears. I'll be shopping around town for some prices.
I would put on some BFG DR's but I know my lead foot will roast them off in 3,000 miles.

RE: Time for some new shoes on the GT
Just put some Aurora (goodyear knock offs) on the GT today. 275/40/17.
I have Aurora 245/45/17's on the front. It really 'levels' out the lowered stance. It always bugged me how the front of my car looks much more lowered than the rear. The guys at the shop looked at me like I was f'ing stupid, but I told them to give it a look when their mounted... pictures soon.

RE: Time for some new shoes on the GT
On my old 96gt I had 275's on a 17x9 and it fit perfect. I was using Bridgestone Potenza RE 730's. Those were some absolutely amazing tires. They are very expensive but they hook like slicks once they heat up. They wear better than Nittos or BFG's and I could handle water like a speedboat, so at least give em a look.

I have the stock 17x8's. Quite a few members here were paranoid about going any bigger than 255 on the rear for whatever reason.
You could push it and go alittle larger by the looks of it..
