Default New SVT boost question

I just purchased a new SVT today, the boost guage always stays at zero. The dealer told me that it will start working after the car reaches 35 miles. I am at 62 and nothing, is there something I can check?

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Jeff

WTF, go smack your dealer in the face.

The boost guage should work with less than 1 mile on it. What kind of trash is that???

Dan02GT,

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if there is something I can check? Connectors, Fuses, anything? Do you think there is something in the ECM that may nned to be turned on? How do I know that my blower is working? Is it something that is always on?

Thanks again for your reply.

Thanks for your time.

Sincerely,

Jeff

Lol Im sure the boost gauge is mechanical so it would work anytime a piston moves up or down lol. Electrical ones are made but I doubt Ford would shell out the $$ for that when their not needed. The boost gauge should just have a small tubing going from it to a vaccum source on the engine.

mdvaldosta,

tahnks for your reply. I was actually talking about the supercharger. From what my dealer told me the supercharger may not be functioning. They said that it's supposed to start working after 35 miles. Doesn't make sence to me but, that what I was told.

Thanks again.

Sincerely,

Jeff

Oh lol misunderstanding. I've never heard that, and theirs no way for that to be possible because the supercharger is belt driven. I'd take it back and demand they fix the problem.

Yeah... that dealer has definatly got you bent over... go raise some hell cuz that aint right... Like MD said, that supercharger is belt driven so it works anytime the engine is running, what he is telling you is impossible... Tell him to quit lying to you and fix the G/D thing before you rip out his throat and feed it to his childern.. I hate liars... A LOT...[:@][:@][:@]

All fixed....it was a vacuum line. It wasn't connected inside the car, behind the glove box. Working good now!

Thank everyone for your time and help.

Sincerely,

Jeff
