i've checked and searched. so hopefully i'm just blind and have over looked it if it exists on here.

i'm looking to lower my 02 gt and put some new wheels and tires on it. is there a chart on here somewhere with recomended tire and wheel sizes for different drops? looking for probably an 18" wheel with a 1.5" drop

Just use a factory height tire and you'll be fine. What you're looking for is the +1 conversion.

 

so take the wheel size, and then take how tall my tire is now on the stock wheels, find out how tall, and get a tire that tall for the new wheels? i'm jsut worried abotu clearance and rubbing with a 1.5" drop.

You got it. I think it's 245/40-18, but I haven't run that through a calculator. 1.5" is a common drop for the Stang, and I wouldn't worry unless you try to put 315's on the front.

thats my 93 sierra. i'm trying to sell it right now actually. i've been doing paint and body and air suspension for a couple years. i love it. i'm starting to take after my dad now. he went through the american muscle care phase when he was my age. lol.
