Just received Ford Racing Door Entry Guards from Jegs..they arrived bent..obviously from Ford to Jegs based on how they were packed.
I am willing to live with them but cannot get the blue protective tape off..it just comes off little by little in tiny peices shredding.
Also, the double sided tape wont stick.
Any suggestions on how to get that damn blue protective tape off or to fix the wimpy 2 sided tape ford provides?
There were no instructions.

The best double sided tape to use is the red backed 3m emblem tape, not much stickier than that. As far as the protective tape, dunno on that one, heat it with a hair drier on low maybe? How bad is the bend?

 

Thanks, until I get the tape off I wont know how bad it dimpled the wide/top part of sill guard.
It did dimple the beveled edge side.
These guards are POS...they even scratched the paint in the door jam due to the sharp beveled edge.

 

Wow they were bent AND the mounting tape is giving you a hassle? I'd return them if I was you. Even if you could get them to stick on with extra help, would they STAY stuck on +6 months down the road?
