I was wondering how much gain would cams give to a 4.6, 99+ mustangs..and how much the price range is

 

VT cams run from $525- $575 in price, and the stage 1 NA cams have been dyno proven 3 times to add between 22 - 33 rwhp. Stage 2's are about 30rwhp on a stock head but they put the power range up high and you wouldnt get much benefit from them unless you shifted at 6500+ rpm.

So you can put a VT cam in a stock motor without making a adjustment to the computer or timing?

 

you have to tune the computer when you change the cams. you also need new springs for stage II, but not necassary for stage I, but i'd do it anyways. they tend to fail over time. it's a great solid mod, and its worth it. plus the sound is just pure sex!!
