Default clutch questions

im gussing its the clutch but im not sure. whenever i roll out of 1st, 2nd, or 3rd and get into 2200-2500ish rpm i hear a grinding/rattle type noise comeing out of what sounds like the middle of my car, almost right under and infront of the shifter. any ideas on what that could be or how to fix it?

also any idea on how much it would cost to get my rotors resurfaced?

Don't guess. Take it to a shop. Ask then how much to just put the car on the lift and tell you where the noise is.....

If the clutch isn't slipping when it's finally fully released then the noise is probably the throwout bearing.

Usually the throwout bearing gets replaced the same time as the clutch, as they're both in the same area and both wear out evenly. Usually it's the clutch that fries first but sometimes the throwout bearing goes first. How many miles are on your clutch?

Keep in mind I'm just "guessing" it's the throwout bearing, but it seems likely. The bearing itself is really cheap, but to install it you need to drop the tranny, and while your at it might as well replace the clutch too. Shop around for a good price on a clutch job.
