Default Help! Rebuild kit questions.

Hey found a rebuild kit off a local shop for about $300 USD With piston rings (Perfect Circle), rod and main bearings (Clevite), gasket-set (Victor-Reinz), 3 peice timing set (Cloyes), oil pump (Melling), pistons (Sealed Power), and freeze plugs (Pioneer). Is this kit anygood? Also it's simply stamped 302 Ford 1986-1990. How can I be sure they are for the HO and not the standard 5.0? Or are all these parts interchangable with no drawbacks? Just want the best for my new toy....

Sounds like a good kit for a rebuild. Clevite makes really good bearings.

I dont know if the kit os for a HO tho, are the pistons and timing set the same for both? As far as i have heard all that is different between HO and non-HO is the cam, crank, fring order and the intake manifold, but i may be wrong.... will this kit work?

If you got a kit for the correct year you are working on, yes the kit will work.
