04 GT suspension help/advise???
I'm sure everyone is tired of seeing my name in this thread starter...but trying to get this suspension thing figrued out...I have purchased a Steeda G-trac stage II (springs, shocks/struts, tower brace, sway bar, caster/camber kit, rear upper control arms) along with balljoints, and bumpsteer kit. Does anyone know if these parts wil give me the proper geometry and solid handling?? I don't just want to "lower" the car I want the stang to handle!! After my order I heard about other items I might need...like bushing kits: (urethane steering rack bushings, front urethane bushing kit, offset front A-arm bushings and aluminum rack bushings.) any of these one in the same?? I am goin down to visit a friend who is a mechanic in a week and want to have everything we need...so I don't have to order more parts and take the suspension apart again to install them....would like to do it in one weekend...I'm not goin to be taking it to a track or anything, but want it to handle better than stock of course...not just Lower it....need help???
Its gonna handle like its on rails dude. Offset rack bushings are really only needed when you drop more than 2", same thing for A-arm bushings - Unless your an all-star road racer all it takes you've got all you'd ever need.
